Avocados are touted as a nutritious and delicious snack for humans, but can dogs eat avocado? The answer is yes and no. Avocados contain persin, a fungicidal toxin that can cause serious health problems even death in many animals. According to veterinarians, dogs are more resistant to persin than other animals, but that doesn’t mean avocados are 100% safe for your dog to consume.
Dogs cannot eat peeled or seedless grapes or raisins which are dried grapes in any amount. The exact cause of grape toxicity in dogs after they ingest a grape is not known. Some dogs may suffer more severe reactions than others.
